Moderation Alerts Pack 4.0

Moderation Alerts Pack is a pack of 25 extra alert types built for MyAlerts. It extends the plugin's default 5 alert types to cover the highest number of moderation actions possible, letting your users be notified if their threads/posts are moved, edited, (soft) deleted, restored, merged and much more.

Moderation Alerts Pack was planned to cover every moderation action available on MyBB but given I am running low of spare time I decided to release it lacking some alert types which will be added in the future, whenever my university commitments will be less intensive than they are at the moment.

Alert types

Moderation Alerts Pack extends MyAlerts letting your users be notified when you:
  • issue a warning;
  • revoke a warning;
  • delete threads;
  • close threads;
  • open threads;
  • move threads;
  • approve threads;
  • unapprove threads;
  • soft delete threads;
  • restore threads;
  • stick threads;
  • unstick threads;
  • merge threads*;
  • edit a post;
  • delete posts permanently*;
  • soft delete posts*;
  • restore posts*;
  • suspend an user from posting;
  • moderate an user posting activity;
  • suspend an user's signature;
  • change an user's username;
  • change an user's signature;
  • accept a buddy request;
  • decline a buddy request;
  • remove an user from your buddylist.

If you're wondering what's missing, merging and splitting posts are yet to be implemented.

Moderation Alerts Pack requires MyAlerts 2.0.0+ and PHP 5.4+.

Installation instructions

Download and unzip the package. Upload all the files to your MyBB folder, keeping the same folder/file structure as is. Then install and activate from the plugins page in your Admin Control Panel and enjoy.

Moderation Alerts Pack edits MyBB core files. An automatic attempt is made using PluginLibrary's functions, but it might fail; if the alerts marked with an asterisk (*) do not work, make sure you have at least 664 chmod permissions on inc/class_moderation.php and inc/datahandler/user.php files.

Upgrade from older versions

This is a major release. To upgrade from older versions, given I have changed the codename you need to uninstall them first, delete all the associated files and upload the new files.

Request a new alert type

Despite my rare free time, you can request a new alert type which will be implemented into the next minor version of Moderation Alerts Pack by opening a new thread in this forum. Feedbacks and bug reports are also appreciated.

Wow, you're quick. I thought this would take a while and I was going to wait – looks like I'm late xD

.Ds_store file to install is mandatory????
as in every folder it comes?
Shade Administrator 27 Oct 2016 Edited
.DS_Store are usually hidden files which do not affect any plugin's functionality. They're just junk files automatically created by Macs.

This is an amazing addition to MyAlerts. I think it's important that users are notified when action is taken on their content. Thank you.

i cant see any setting in Admin panel.
Shade Administrator 9 Feb 2017
Being an extension to MyAlerts, settings are added to MyAlerts' settings page.
